Very
hard wood with beautiful, pronounced open graining. Some pieces have
almost holographic qualities as the wood appears to change appearance
depending on the viewing angle.
This
wood actually starts out with a yellow cast and ages to a medium brown
over time. To prevent this color transformation from occurring in your
home, we add a small amount of brown tint to the finish. Will darken
to a rich brown.
This
wood may contain some small knots which lend a unique signature to each
piece. This is one of our favorite wood specie as a result of the stunning
color and graining Iroko offers.
